PUBLIC NOTICE FOR DEBRIS REMOVAL

Mitchell County has received approval from the Georgia Environmental Protection Division to collect vegetative storm debris from the unincorporated area directly impacted by the recent tornado. Vegetative storm debris includes only limbs, stumps, branches, yard waste and trees and must be placed near the road but should not be placed in the ditches. Mitchell County will not be responsible for removing debris that contains any materials other than those defined as vegetative storm debris or debris that has been placed by a contractor. Contractors may contact Mitchell County at 229-336-6200.


This service will be made available through May 29, 2020.
