Pelham Country Jamboree
Every Saturday night beginning at 5 p.m. (till 11 p.m.) in downtown Pelham is a growing musical phenomenon at the Pelham Jamboree building. Musicians play a variety of music with country, bluegrass, and gospel as the predominant favorites. Bring your pickin’ instrument, admission is free and concessions are available. Southern Rivers Fine Arts Exhibition
Monday, February 10th - Thursday, February 14, 2008, 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Camilla Chamber of Commerce, 212 East Broad St., Camilla. Beginning the second Saturday of February and held for a week, is this annual juried art show to promote an atmosphere of art awareness, as well as an appreciation of the art available in our area. Mitchell County Quail Days
Saturday, February 24, 2008. Every year, local charitable organizations cooperate for approximately two months to bring hunters and civic minded sportsmen Mitchell County Quail Days. Each weekend’s hunt is held at a variety of private farms and plantations and benefit different charities each weekend. Camilla Pro Tennis Invitational
April 25th, 26th, & 27th, 2008 Camilla, listed as one of the top tennis towns by Racquet Magazine, is host to one of the highlights of the senior pro tour each year. Gnat Days Season
March thru July 2008. The first of March the City of Camilla Celebrates a not-so adorable pest with one of the best festivals in the South “Gnat Days”. The Season begins with the Gnat Days Taster’s Luncheon, 5K Fun Run, Downtown “Beat the Clock” Sale, Kids Bike Race, Pet Show, and “Under the Oaks” dance. New this year is the annual Gnat Days Yard Sale held Saturday May 3rd. Other events in conjunction with Gnat Days happen throughout April and May such as the Camilla Pro Tennis Invitational. This event is affiliated with the Georgia Festival and Events Association and the International Festival and Events Association. Pelham Wildlife Festival
The first Saturday in October. This is biggest wildlife event in Southwest Georgia with 12,000 - 15,000 in attendance annually. The Festival features all-day entertainment, wildlife educational shows, arts and crafts, and ends with dancing in the park with a live band. Southwest GA High Cotton 65 Mile Yard Sale
Held the first Saturday in November. Yard sale begins at the intersection of US Highway 19 and GA Highway 37 and ends at the Georgia/ Alabama state line in Ft. Gaines and is a collaboration of Mitchell, Baker, Calhoun & Clay Counties.
