Mitchell County EMS is a Georgia licensed ambulance service (License #101-01), zoned to respond to all of Mitchell County and the municipalities within. Complete Advanced Life Support is provided 24/7 from the main station located in the City of Camilla and two substations, one located in the City of Pelham (south Mitchell County) and one in the City of Baconton (north Mitchell County).
We employ 23 Paramedics, 3 Cardiac Technicians, and 3 EMT-Intermediates. We operate 4 ambulance units on a daily basis and support a First Responder program made up from the paid and volunteer firefighters in 9 fire stations throughout the County. Director Ann K. Lamb is a Certified Advanced Emergency Manager for the State of Georgia as well as named a Master Manager for the Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA).
