Mitchell County is home to many vibrant hometown communities. Of significance, Mitchell County is the only county in Georgia with two cities, Camilla and Pelham, selected to participate in the Georgia Better Hometown Program. This award denotes the community pride and spirit that has led to the revitalization and expansion of these innovative rural communities.
There are two industrial parks, Camilla Industrial Park and North Pelham Industrial District, however prime industrial and commercial sites are located throughout the county.
