The Clerk of Superior Court is elected by the citizens of Mitchell County to serve them by protecting the integrity of their court, land and other records and to safeguard private and public funds paid into the office.

Description of Services:

• The Clerk of Superior Court processes and manages all court documents, collects and disburses all court fees, fines and costs and provides the public with access to court records.
• As the official custodian of other public records, the clerk records deeds, mortgages, charters, and notaries public.
• Records Real Estate deeds and plats and maintains as searchable records.
• Records liens and maintains as searchable records.
• Maintain UCC (personal property) as searchable records.
• Passport applications.
• Issue notary public.
• As the Clerk of Court for the State Court of Mitchell County Georgia, this court handles misdemeanor cases and traffic cases from the Georgia State Patrol, Mitchell County Sheriff’s Department, and Sale City Police Department.
